PAIS, Moreno Win Elections
PAIS Alliance candidate Lenin Moreno elected president and Jorge Glas as VP with 51.16% of the vote. Right-wing candidates including Guillermo Lasso and Dalo Bucaram maintain 'fraud' claims. Moreno claims he will contine Correa's achievements for the past 10 years.
Moreno Sworn in
Moreno is sworn in as President, promises to build housing for poor and low income people along with social commitments as part of a continuity of the Citizen's Revolution. Moreno announces the end of the "Enlace Ciudadano" (Citizens Link), a corner stone of Correa's government and one of the important means of political information in the country.
Moreno's first comments against Correa and Glas, accuses past government of not doing enough to fight corruption, as Glas faces accusations in Odebrecht scandal.
Moreno announces he will have a dialogue with all sectors of society, criticizes Correa's disagreements with other political figures
Correa says Moreno 'Disloyal'
Correa denounces Moreno's close dialogues with several member of the opposition and strong enemies of the Citizen's Revolution he created, also denounces and agreement to hand over electricity to allies of former exhiled president Abdala Bucaram. Correa says Moreno is disloyal.
Moreno tells the press now they can "breath freedom" with his government.
Moreno says during a meeting in Peru "Ecuador doesn't have former presidents in jail, but we haven't lost hope".
Correa supporters announce they will create a new party called "Citizen's Revolution".
Correa returns from Belgium to campaign against questions 2,3 and 6 in referendum, he says they are unconstitutional, that will have Moreno changing the members of the Civic Participation Council, forbidding indefinite re-election of elected positions, and eliminating a tax on land speculation.

Popular Consultation' called by Moreno wins all questions. Other questions include forbidding those charged with corruption to run for office, eliminating mining operations,. expanding the protected area of the Yasuni National Park, and non-prescription of sexual crimes against children.
