In the center of empire, birds of a feather flock together: former U.S. secretary of state and alleged war criminal Henry Kissinger has come out to praise U.S. President-elect Donald Trump’s pick for secretary of state, ExxonMobil CEO Rex Tillerson.
Many are concerned of Tillerson’s ties with Russia, but Kissinger was dismissive of that.
“I pay no attention to this argument that he is too friendly with Russia,” Kissinger said, according to Politico. “He would be useless at the head of Exxon if he was not friendly with Russia … I don’t hear those concerns at all."
“Nobody can meet every single qualification for secretary of state,” Kissinger added. “I think it’s a good appointment.”
What should be more of concern, however, is that as the head of one of the world’s largest oil and gas companies, Tillerson has had a hand in a slew of dirty deeds from helping to cover up his own company's role in causing global warming to funding climate change denialism.
