The Brazilian audience responded with roars when the name of Bolsonaro appeared on the giant display among other right-wing politicians around the world.

Pink Floyd ex-bassist Roger Waters declared Brazilian presidential candidate Jair Bolsonaro as the South American country’s “neo-fascist on the rise,” on Tuesday.

The Brit rock icon activist began the set - during the opener of his Us + Them tour in Brazil - by displaying the names of people, across the globe, who the musician believes are projecting neo-fascists rhetoric.

Waters is will perform a second show in São Paulo, on Wednesday, at Allianz Park. During the concert, the rocker elaborated that the scourge of neo-fascism is increasing and alarming around the world while noting the identities of some of the "guilty" parties on a screen. 

The Brazilian audience responded with roars when the name of Bolsonaro, who advanced to the second round of Sunday’s presidential elections, appeared on the giant display among other rising neo-fascists.

Waters, known to hold unpopular opinions on Palestine, demonstrated multiple political statements throughout the set. One such significant presentation involved 12 figures cloaked by hoods - portraying hostages who are to be decapitated - removing the garments and revealing themselves to be children. 

Bolsonaro was noted along with several other politicians from various countries, including his compatriot and pro-Brexit vice chair Nigel Farage as well as United States President Donald Trump.

The bassist has upcoming shows in Brasilia, Salvador, Belo Horizonte, Rio de Janeiro, Curitiba and Porto Alegre.
