Esmeraldas province experienced two earthquakes after the 7.8-magnitude one on Saturday.

Double earthquakes hit Esmeraldas province after Saturday's deadly 7.8-magnitude tragedy.

Ecuador suffered two more earthquakes Wednesday morning following the deadly one on Saturday that claimed over 500 lives and has caused over 400 aftershocks.

A 6.3 magnitude earthquake of 9.3 km depth and a 6.1-magnitude earthquake of 16.1 km depth hit the provinces of Esmeraldas, Manabi, Santo Domingo de los Tsachilas and Imbabura, which have already seen widespread destruction from the 7.8-magnitude earthquake on Saturday.

Muisne also registered a 5.9-magnitude quake Tuesday evening, and at least 444 aftershocks have rattled Ecuador.

The toll of the earthquake stands at 525 deaths and over 4,600 injured, but hundreds are still missing, and many corpses have not been identified.
