Gun control activists staged a memorial made up of 7,000 pairs of shoes outside the United States Congress Tuesday as they continue to demand measures to control gun ownership and meaningful gun regulations.
During the early morning volunteers placed children's shoes in front of the U.S. Capitol.
Their main demand: tougher gun control to stop gun violence and shootings.
The action aims to pressure the U.S. Congress into action.
On Wednesday students will continue their protests through a walkout in 2,500 schools across the United States.
