Venezuelan's went to the polls twice so far this year - the Constituent Assembly elections in July and Regional Elections on Oct. 15.AVN

According to official results, the United Socialist Party of Venezuela, or PSUV, took 18 of 23 states.AVN
Some leaders of MUD coalition refused to recognize the results, although 4 of 5 elected opposition governors took their seats. A number of opposition parties subsequently announced they would not participate in the municipal elections.AVN
