The pandemic caused by the new coronavirus has already spread to 221 countries with 114.351.767 infected. The disease is caused by a new virus that had not been detected in humans until a few months ago.
In Uganda the figures released by the Ministry of Health record a total of 40.335, which marks an increase of 13 new cases compared to the previous day.

In the last 24 hours, no deaths were reported and the number of fatalities remains at 334.
In contrast, it has been reported that 14.616 people have recovered in the country.
The president Yoweri Kaguta Museveni is closely monitoring the situation while the authorities continue to coordinate the actions of health personnel across the country.

As of February 27th WHO released new figures on the SARS-CoV-2 virus that causes coronavirus disease COVID-19. The global total is 114.351.767 which marks an increase of 375.046 62,755 from the previous day.
Additionally, the number of people who died as a result of complications related to the effects of the virus amounts to 7.763 and the total number of deaths in the world is 2.536.411.

People with COVID-19 often have flu-like symptoms, such as fever, tiredness, and a dry cough. Some may have muscle aches, a stuffy nose, a sore throat, or diarrhea. Most people (about 80%) recover from the disease in about 7 days without the need for any special treatment. About 1 in 6 people who develop COVID-19 can progress to a serious illness, having difficulty breathing, and will require hospitalization.
