141.841 cases were confirmed in Myanmar

The pandemic caused by the new coronavirus has already spread to 221 countries with 113.516.941 infected. The disease is caused by a new virus that had not been detected in humans until a few months ago.

In Myanmar the figures released by the Ministry of Health and Sports record a total of 141.841, which marks an increase of 25 new cases compared to the previous day.

Myanmar ranks 74 in countries with reported Covid-19 cases, the viral pneumonia that affects the planet. The list of the top ten is as follows: EE.UU. 29.048.660, India 11.063.038, Brazil 10.393.886, Russia 4.212.100, UK 4.154.562, France 3.686.813, Spain 3.180.212, Italy 2.868.435, Turkey 2.674.766 and Germany 2.426.819.

In the last 24 hours, 1 death was reported and the number of fatalities adds up to 3.198.

In contrast, it has been reported that 131.417 people have recovered in the country.

The president Win Myint is closely monitoring the situation while the authorities continue to coordinate the actions of health personnel across the country.

As of February 25th WHO released new figures on the SARS-CoV-2 virus that causes coronavirus disease COVID-19. The global total is 113.516.941 which marks an increase of 428.448 62,755 from the previous day.

Additionally, the number of people who died as a result of complications related to the effects of the virus amounts to 10.156 and the total number of deaths in the world is 2.517.943.

WHO accounts 89.083.120 people recovered and 91.537 infected by Covid 19 in critical condition.

People with COVID-19 often have flu-like symptoms, such as fever, tiredness, and a dry cough. Some may have muscle aches, a stuffy nose, a sore throat, or diarrhea. Most people (about 80%) recover from the disease in about 7 days without the need for any special treatment. About 1 in 6 people who develop COVID-19 can progress to a serious illness, having difficulty breathing, and will require hospitalization.

Who is most at risk of becoming seriously ill?

How is it transmitted?

Through close contact with an infected person.
By an infected person coughing or sneezing.
By touching contaminated objects or surfaces and then touching your mouth, nose or eyes.

Prepare

Make sure you get your information from a reliable source.

Wash your hands regularly with soap and water or use an alcohol-based gel.

Cover your mouth with the inside of your elbow when you cough or sneeze or use a tissue and dispose of used tissue immediately and wash your hands.

Avoid close contact with people who have flu-like symptoms.

Avoid touching your eyes, nose or mouth with unwashed hands.

Avoid sharing cups, plates or other personal items and disinfect all surfaces that are touched frequently.
